Locked out of your apartment, house, or shop? Call any time and we come out and open the door.
What counts as an emergency?
A door you cannot get through. A key that snapped off in the cylinder. A lock that spins and does nothing. A storefront on Manhattan Avenue that will not lock at closing. You call, you tell us the address and the door, and we leave the shop with what the job needs.
When people call us for this
- You stepped into the hall and the apartment door locked behind you.
- Your key broke off in the lock of a frame house or a walk-up.
- The deadbolt turns but the door stays shut.
- A shop or office door will not lock at the end of the night.
- Someone who should not have a key still does, and you want the lock changed tonight.
How do you get the door open?
We start with the least invasive way in and only drill a lock when nothing else works. If a lock has to come out, you hear it from us first and we fit a new one on the same visit.
What should I have ready?
Your exact address and the door you are stuck at. ID or another way to show the place is yours; a super or landlord can vouch for you. If you can, text a photo of the lock so we bring the right parts.
What happens on the visit?
We come out from the shop with the parts your call or your photo told us to bring. Before we touch anything we show you what is worn, bent, or broken, then we do the work and test every lock and every key with you before we go. If the door itself needs something, we say so and you decide.
Frequently asked
Do you come out in the evening?
Yes. Call any time, say where you are, and we come out. The shop and the phone line close at 11.
Will you ask for ID?
Yes. We confirm the place is yours before we open the door. A lease, a bill, or your super works too.
Can you change the lock once you open it?
Yes. Say so on the call and we bring a new lock or the pins to rekey the one you have.
